Alicia Michaels Speidel - 2011 ford escape
Unexpected events left me without a car at perhaps the worst time possible, just before the beginning of the 2016 school year, and as all of us know, something so drastic can be more than a little stressful. Questions arose of how I was going to get to work or make it to my children if something happened while they were at school. Why? Because, like so many others, my family is dependent on reliable transportation.
And it was in the middle of this crisis that one of the most phenomenal individuals I have ever met came into the picture. No, this isn’t something that you normally hear when someone is referring to a car salesman, but our guy was just that!
Edward ‘Eddie’ Fuller never once pressured me into buying what he thought I should have, what looked pretty or stylish. He listened to what my needs for a car were. He heard me out and worked with me to figure out what would work the best with the budget that I have, what would meet the needs of myself and my family and was completely honest and upfront about the entire process.
But the important part was he listened!
That is such a rare commodity anymore, and it wasn’t just to placate me, but to honestly help me when so many other things had gone wrong. He treated me as a person first…a person with a very real problem.
Then, as yet another demonstration of his goodness and caring nature, he met me at the car that brought me to the dealership with an umbrella in the middle of a downpour. Really! I can’t begin to describe what that meant to me, that he would come out into a torrential storm with an umbrella for me!
But it didn’t stop there.
The entirety of my time at the dealership saw Eddie treating me as a person above all else, seeing to my comfort, offering refreshments, and smiling. Always smiling, and not just an empty platitude, but a very real expression of happiness.
He took what could’ve been a very trying time and made the ordeal, the worry, the concern vanish by being courteous, polite, and truly caring about the outcome. Because of Eddie Fuller I have a new dealership that will always be my first choice, and it will be the one that I recommend to friends and family for their car needs.
The thing is, it wasn’t one grand gesture that is prompting me to write this review. It was a continuous series of little gestures, of hearing me out, asking the right questions about what I needed and wanted and giving good answers back to my inquiries, of making me feel like a person with real concerns and not just a ‘customer’. I cannot speak highly enough of Eddie, of what he did for me, how he treated me, and the fact that when I left, I was smiling as well!
